Auction Rules

Our auctions follow the English auction format. For each Lot:

  • The Auctioneer will begin by announcing the starting price.
  • Bidders may place successively higher bids, following or exceeding the minimum bid increment set by the Auctioneer.
  • The Auctioneer reserves the right to recognize the highest current bid (the “Standing Bid”) at any time.
  • If no further bids are received after a final call (typically a count to three), the Auctioneer will close the bidding by declaring the Lot sold. The Standing Bid at that point is deemed the winning bid.

Buyer’s Premium

A Buyer’s Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot.

The Buyer’s Premium is calculated at 15% of the Hammer Price, and is subject to 7% VAT, resulting in a total premium of 16.05% of the Hammer Price (inclusive of VAT).

The final amount payable by the Winning Bidder will therefore be the Hammer Price plus the applicable Buyer’s Premium.

Payment for Winner

The Winning Bidder is required to make full payment—including the Hammer Price and the applicable Buyer’s Premium—before collecting the Lot.

All Lots must be collected within 7 calendar days of completing payment. Failure to collect within this period may result in a daily storage fee of 1,000 THB per Lot.

If the Winning Bidder does not contact us or arrange collection within 3 months from the Auction Date, ownership of the uncollected Lot(s) will be transferred to Art Exchanger without further notice.

You may complete your payment through the following options.
